  • What makes Abbey Rose different?

    Upon stepping foot within Abbey Rose, you cannot help but be absorbed by the welcoming atmosphere of the helpful and friendly staff. Set within a charming Victorian house, Abbey Rose is home to up to 38 residents and is loved by all, for its large communal spaces, traditional feel and original features.

    The reputation of this home precedes it, with an all-green score from the CQC in its latest report; Abbey Rose is known and loved for its standards of care in the local community and beyond. The spirit of this home is brought to life by the care team; many of whom have worked within the care home for ten or more years, and go above and beyond for the residents and their families. The residents can look forward to opportunities to partake in an array of activities, which are suited to the residents’ requests. Many of these take place in the pleasant surroundings of the gardens or conservatory, and provide the perfect opportunity for residents to socialise with one another.

    Additional services include; a laundry service, access to a weekly in-house hairdresser, massages and manicures. We also can arrange for sessions including, Aromatherapy, Chiropodist, Chiropractor, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dental Hygiene and Eye Testing. The care team are on hand 24/7 to provide any other kind of assistance.

  • Our rooms

    Abbey Rose offers accommodation for up to 38 residents. Abbey Rose’s recently re-furbished rooms are both spacious and comfortable, with 12 out of 38 of the rooms having en-suite facilities.

    Abbey Rose provides the following care services:

    • Respite Care
    • Dementia Care*

     *Dementia Care is offered on a case-by-case basis. We are unfortunately unable to offer residency to individuals whose behaviour has become disruptive.

  • Activities

    Activities are designed to accommodate residents’ wishes and abilities. Often hosted within the surroundings of the garden or conservatory, activities include; parties, themed days, birthdays, day trips, Bingo as well as special celebrations and tributes to residents’ lifetime achievements.

  • Food

    Residents are treated to excellent catering from the on-site chef, who has worked in the home for over ten years. Dietary preferences are catered for and snacks and drinks are available wherever residents require them.
