WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
In this role, you will be responsible for providing routine maintenance including basic plumbing and decorating. A knowledge and ability to carry out minor repairs and a good standard of record keeping is essential and be able to work unsupervised. You will have responsibility for maintaining the security of the home and compliance with health and safety legislation.
Someone with:
- Ideally experience in a care environment
- Friendly and approachable because you will have contact with our residents, their guests and family
- Be able to take initiative and responsibility
- Health and Safety and regulatory requirements
- Positive and willing attitude
- Experience of working in a team
WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE INCLUDE?
- Work closely with the home manager to ensure the best possible level of service and care to our residents
- Monitor suppliers and ensure competitive and provide value for money
- Report all accidents and incidents to the Person-in-Charge of the Home
- Have full knowledge of the Fire Procedures, fire escapes and a working knowledge of the firefighting equipment
