Hope for visits…

With the success of the vaccine rollout, and a fall in the number of people in hospital with COVID, we are all keeping our fingers crossed that the Government’s recent announcement of a staged release from lockdown, is both safe and helps everyone get back to something approaching a more normal way of life. Here at Macc Care we will be welcoming visitors back to our homes from March 8th. One designated person will be allowed to visit a resident as long as the home itself remains infection free, and that we observe all precautions – these will include all visitors being tested before they come into a home, as advised by the Government. We know it is vitally important to maintain contact with loved ones and we will continue to try to make this achievable for as many of you as possible. However, we want to emphasise that just because things look to be going in the right direction, we must bear in mind that daily case rates are still high in our area and we will continue to take the most stringent measures to protect the safety and wellbeing of our residents.
