Dementia Care

Raising the bar in dementia care in the West Midlands

Professional care and 24-hour support is available within many MACC Care homes for residentials who are living with progressive brain conditions that affect memory and thinking skills, including Alzheimer’s disease, Vascular dementia, Frontotemporal dementia and Lewy body dementia.

Our dedicated staff are highly trained to provide quality and compassionate care – building and maintaining trusting relationships with residents and helping them to overcome the frustrations that can so often stem from difficulties in communication.

Our core aim is to help individuals to lead happy and fulfilled lives, supporting them to retain their independence for as long as possible. We are passionate about creating safe and homely environments in which residents feel a sense of belonging within small ‘family’ communities. Enrichment comes from engaging in a gentle daily structure and participating in carefully considered activities and events, designed to improve quality of life and help maintain current abilities.

Who is dementia care suitable for?

Dementia care throughout the MACC Care family of homes is offered on a case-by-case basis. Whilst fully accredited with governing bodies for dementia, we are unfortunately not able to provide care for people whose behaviour has become disruptive.

More complex care and clinical needs?

Advanced dementia care is available at Blythe Rose, our purpose-built luxury new care home, designed and equipped to become a centre of excellence in the West Midlands.

Please contact the Manager of the MACC Care home of your choice to find out more and have a chat about the support available.

“Mum has dementia and sight loss and during this time Willow Rose Care Home have made sure Mum is kept close to the family with her listening to our voices over the phone and voice messages we leave which are played back to her and explained. Mum’s room is a beautiful haven. Care of detail runs through the whole ethos of Willow Rose. We cannot recommend it highly enough.”
